The standard French rules apply, which are similar to UK rules expect in the following areas.
Drive on the right - "Serrez a Droite".
In built up areas give way to traffic from the right - "Priorite a Driote" - that is traffic coming out of a side road on your side of the road.
The yellow in white diamond sign tells you when you have priority.
The same sign with a black diagonal bar across it means you do not have priority.
There is also the "Cedez Le Passage" sign on roundabouts where you give way to traffic on the roundabout - same rule as in the UK.
|
You have priority - normal on the open road.
|
|
You do not have priority - normally in towns.
